Common Side Effects for Restless Legs Syndrome

The most common Requip side effects observed in more than 5 percent of patients with restless legs syndrome were as follows:
 
  • Nausea -- up to 40 percent of people
  • Excessive tiredness, which is known as somnolence -- up to 12 percent
  • Vomiting -- up to 11 percent
  • Dizziness -- up to 11 percent
  • Fatigue -- up to 8 percent.
     
For people with restless legs syndrome, 5 percent of people stopped taking Requip because of its side effects. This is compared to 4 percent of people who stopped taking the placebo (a sugar pill that does not cause side effects). The most common reasons that people with restless legs syndrome stopped taking Requip were as follows:
