Mirapex® (pramipexole dihydrochloride) is a prescription medicine used for treating both early and advanced forms of Parkinson's disease. It is also approved to relieve symptoms of moderate to severe restless legs syndrome (RLS). While most people tolerate Mirapex well, potential side effects include insomnia, low blood pressure, and hallucinations. Before your healthcare provider prescribes you this drug, make sure he or she is aware if you have kidney disease, dyskinesia, or a sleep disorder other than RLS.
